The main topics taught in an integrated NGSS 6th grade science class are:
- Introduction to Cells
- Cells to Organisms including Body Systems
- The Water Cycle and Weather and Climate Patterns
- Genetics
- Energy Transfer
- Human Impact
The flow charts show a sample order of how to use the products in my 6th grade bundle which includes sketch notes, games, activities, and quizzes.
I start the year off covering Crosscutting Concepts. This provides a structure to fit science concepts into. I then move into the introduction to cells and follow that with cells to organisms which also covers human body systems.
